Valentines direct mail marketing campaign

We wanted to share the love on Valentine’s Day this year and came up with a fun marketing campaign that was personalised to some of our clients. We used lovely heart shaped foil wrapped chocolates from Marks and Spencer and packaged them up in creative ways, then sent them direct via Royal Mail. Each mailer contained a personalised compliment slip, notepad and the vital heart chocolates enclosed in a biodegradable clear bag with ingredients and allergens printed on the reverse.

We designed the campaign items using Adobe InDesign and imagery from our Getty library. Final print files were combined with an Excel CSV file and run through XMPIE to carry out the personalisation prior to printing.

We printed the various items on ProDesign (350gsm and 160gsm) except the notepads which were printed onto 100gsm Multicopy before being glued. We also used dark red pocket DL 110gsm envelopes to add the feel of romance to the campaign!

They were posted out a couple of days before Valentine’s Day via Royal Mail’s 2nd class service which is usually delivered 2-3 days later across the UK.
